The Old Wine House

Overview

This project was the reimagining of an empty building in the Rhondda Valley from a commercial building to a 4-bed residential home.

Design Concept

Cool, earthy tones, sustainability, tactile textures and clean living.

Scope of Work

Space planning, floor plans, elevations, 3d renders, full production drawing pack, wall covering, flooring and furniture selection, lighting design, and custom elements.

Highlights

Custom-built storage solutions for multiple rooms, including a bespoke gym equipment wall.  Use of sustainable materials such as marble, limewash paint and FSC-certified wood products to enhance eco-friendliness.

Result

This project was the final major project of my degree and involved sourcing the building, researching the property’s history and completely redesigning the whole space. I created a 3D model of the reimagined property with respective floor plans, elevations, furniture and decoration schedules and all relevant production drawings.
